Cette série de masques se présente comme un ensemble de fragments. La minéralité lunaire de la porcelaine utilisée reçoit l’empreinte d’un masque polynésien (rapporté des Marquises par mon père dans les années 60). Les graphismes gravés s’impriment dans la matière en négatif. Une autre relation à l’objet exotique transparaît. Ce projet ancré dans un contexte biographique permet au travers de l’empreinte dans une matière plastique et délicate de conceptualiser un troisième état de forme, une autre temporalité socio-culturelle.
This serie of masks present itself like a ensemble of fragments. The lunar minerality of the porcelain that is used get the imprint of a polynesian mask (brought back by my father from the Marquesas during the 60’s). The graphics imprints the material in negative. Another relation to the exotic object show through.
This project embedded in a biographical context allows, through the imprint in a plastique and delicate material, to conceptualize a third state of shape, another socio-cultural temporality.
