Le plan au sol de May Riving Pavilion se base sur celui du pavillon de Barcelone de Mies Van der Rohe (1929). Le point de vue est recoupé dans cette perspective sur la sculpture initiale de Georg Kolbe émergeant du bassin arrière : sa restitution ici préserve les proportions du plan réduit à 90% et la surface du bassin est recoupée par l’espace d’exposition dont les murs arrière et gauche locaux sont les bases. Dans cette perspective, seul le plafond fait écho à l’architecture initiale en conservant une profondeur et dégageant le puits de lumière de l’espace arrière. La sculpture est ici une représentation stylisée d’Amy Irving interprétée en Cri : la sculpture est en bois de cyprés et la surface du bassin est un plancher. Cette installation découle de la série Les Maisons de mes rêves.
The ground plan of May Riving Pavilion is based on that of the Barcelona pavilion by Mies Van der Rohe (1929). The point of view is intersected in this perspective on Georg Kolbe’s initial sculpture emerging from the rear basin: its restitution here preserves the proportions of the plan reduced to 90% and the surface of the basin is intersected by the exhibition space whose walls local back and left are the basics. From this perspective, only the ceiling echoes the original architecture, maintaining depth and clearing the skylight from the rear space. The sculpture here is a stylized representation of Amy Irving interpreted in The Scream: the sculpture is made of cypress wood and the surface of the basin is a floor. This installation is part of the Les Maisons de mes rêve series.
